Les entreprises devront travailler sur des échafaudages, plates-formes, planches, ou échelles adaptées, qui leur permettront de ne pas avoir à prendre un appui direct sur les plaques de couverture Cover-Life, et sur les zones d’éclairement naturel. Il faudra éviter les concentrations de personnes ou des charges sur la toiture. Ces règles minimales devront être respectées par toute entreprise ou toute personne circulant sur la toiture, pendant ou après la pose. Dans le cas de couvertures qui comporteraient des équipements nécessitant un entretien régulier, il sera installé des dispositifs permanents de circulation. S.r. l . ¤ Il faut protéger le périmètre extérieur de la couverture avec un échafaudage dont l’accès doit être réservé aux initiés. Nous recommandons l’emploi de filets de sécurité si des trous pour cheminée ou lucarne sont prévus dans la couverture. La toiture sera supportée par une charpente composée de supports verticaux et de supports horizontaux. L’écartement des supports verticaux conditionnera directement le type des supports horizontaux à mettre en œuvre. Les supports horizontaux seront positionnés parallèlement entre la ligne de faîtage et la ligne d’égout et conformément aux préconisations de pose relatives à chaque modèle de plaque Cover-Life pour une bonne fixation du produit (voir fig. 3). La dimension des supports horizontaux sera déterminée en fonction des plaques de couverture choisies (entraxe des fixations), et à l’écartement entre les supports verticaux. BRAND NEW ROOF NOUVELLE TOITURE If you want to install Cover-Life sheets on a new roof, you will have to put the horizontal beams parallel to the gutter and ridge lines and to calculate the purlin spacing as a function of the size of the sheets. Purlin spacing and slope of the truss are described among the features of each model of Cover-Life sheets. It is advisable to put some more horizontal purlins at the ridge and gutter line level in order to better withstand the shock stresses and to allow for anchoring the ridges and the gutter brackets. SAFETY SECURITE Laying sheets on a roof implies some risks, such as falls, failure of structures, shocks and impacts, i f necessary safety precautions are not taken. Before starting, it is important to verify the solidity of the roof and its capacity to bear the weight of installers and of all materials that have to be used. We recommend you to follow the occupational safety measures to avoid incidents and dangerous falls of material. It is advisable to use safety belts secured with lanyards tied to the safety lines and to put on roofing boards to distribute the loads evenly. The ladders in use must meet safety standards and have to be positioned vertically against the wall with the top rungs protruding from the roof access level. The external perimeter of the roofing must be protected by scaffoldings and parapet wall. Working areas have to be restricted to authorized personnel only. If skylights, chimney pots or similar openings are present on the roof, you should use appropriate protections and safety devices to prevent workers or materials from falling.
